Crazy Horse by Kendall and Madison

Did you know that Korzak Ziolkowski sculpted Crazy Horse Memorial? Well, he did. He worked on Crazy Horse all by himself. Korzak started the sculpture in 1948. After Ziolkowski died 7out of his 10 children along with his wife, Ruth Ziolkowski , still work on Crazy Horse today. Crazy Horse Memorial honors Chief Crazy Horse. The head of Crazy Horse including his hair could fit Mt.Rushmore on Crazy Horse Memorial. Just the head of the Crazy Horse Memorial is 87 feet tall. It  took more than 50 years to create the face. Crazy Horse Memorial is still being built today. When it is finished Crazy Horse will be the world’s largest sculpture. Crazy Horse is right now 641 feet long and 563 feet high. The carvers of the monument used explosive devices to shape the mountain. Crazy Horse will be sitting on a horse pointing to the west.
